3 makeup products you need this summer

Summer is the perfect time to ditch the heavy makeup and embrace your natural beauty.

Everyone knows that both heavy makeup and heat don't mix well, but whilst wearing heavy makeup in the summer is not advised, it's still ok if you keep it natural(ish). Here are the top three essential beauty products that will make you look effortlessly beautiful in the heat:

BB Cream

Avoid using heavy foundations during the summer time unless necessary, as a thick foundation in the heat can clog your pores and ruin your skin. Thankfully the makeup world came out with great alternatives such as BB Creams and CC Creams. The difference between the two is subtle, blemish balms tend to be heavier in texture and give more coverage, whilst colour correcting creams give you a light tint to the skin. BB creams, as well as CC creams, tend to have higher SPF which is very important during summer time.

Highlighter

Highlighter is essential to achieve that effortless summer glow. Highlighter has been the most talked about makeup item in the last three years. There are so many variations of various highlighters in the market currently, but with so much choice it can be difficult to choose one! Apply highlighter to your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, the corners of your eyes and your cupid's bow for an effortlessly glowy look.

Are you guys #teamsweet or #teamsassy?! These awesome water lip stains from @clarinsusa @clarinsofficial are part of #teamsassy and I’m all about them ? (#teamsweet are the lip oils which I also love ? so I can’t decide which team I’m on ?) . They are my new favorite lip products ?? they feel AMAZING on the lips, are super buildable so you can achieve a more natural or bold color and they last throughout the day and slowly fade ? I’m in love and my lips are so thankful ? how do you guys feel about lip stains? ? side note .. these photos were so much fun to take but I looked like a crazy person crouched in our bathtub ? #clarins #clarinsusa #clarinsofficial #octolyfamily #octoly #productphotography #makeupphotography #lipstain #coloradospringsphotographer #persianblogger #persian

Lipgloss can be inconvenient as it can get caught up in your hair, and lipstick can rub off quickly. All of this can be inconvenient if you're having a relaxing day by the pool and you still want to look good. The solution to this is simple-lip stain. Lipstain is a non-sticky long-lasting lip tint that will not rub off in hot weather. There are a variety of lip stains of all shades available in stores. If you have a darker complexion deep berry shades will compliment your skin tone, and if you have a pale complexion light pink lip stains will suit you. The Balm has a great lip stain which retails for £13.99. The good thing about lip stains is that it is a multi-purpose product which you can apply to the lips as well as to the cheeks instead of using a blush.
