This year's fashion and beauty trends that have gone too far
The internet can be a weird place.
When it comes to today's fashion trends there really isn't anything that can shock me anymore. We've almost put two-thirds of 2018 behind us already and the fashion gods have already delivered their fair share of unusual fashion trends. Here are some of the weirdest fashion and beauty fads 2018 will be remembered for.
1. Teeth nails
First we had fur nails, then we had nail chain art, and now dentistry has taken on a whole new meaning. A Russian nail-art chain called Nail Sunny created this unique look and it took the internet by storm. As weird as this trend is, I appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship, but would I wear these nails? Perhaps not.
2. Denim boots
If you were to catch a glimpse of these boots from far away they might look like a pair of jeans that haven't been pulled up all the way. Jenifer Lopez was recently caught in these stylish one-of-a-kind Versace denim boots, which would have cost a hefty price of £1,400. Would you give this fashion trend the boot or are these boots truly made for walking?
3. The family of plastics
Plastic has been making quite a scene on the fashion front in 2018. From Kim Kardashian's plastic dress and boots to Rihanna's plastic-wrapped shoes, plastic clothing is trying to make a statement. In saying this, I'm interested to know how comfortable these plastic clothes are. Will they make that annoying squeaky like sound as you walk around?
4. Glitter butts
When it comes to music festivals and parties, glitter galore is the way to go, however, I'm sceptical about this trend—I imagine the gems make sitting down a bit of a challenge! I give the glitter bum trend a glittery thumbs up for good Instagram pictures but a thumbs down for real life.
5. Nose hair extensions
As if it couldn't get any weirder. No one's nostrils need hair extensions of any kind for any occasion.
6. Thong jeans
If you're adventurous to rock these jeans, I salute you and your soon-to-be cold bottomed self. In my opinion, these jeans should be called "ripped jeans on steroids".
