The Met Gala 2019: a run down of the best dressed celebrities
The 2019 Met Gala on Monday night saw a star-studded, flamboyantly fashionable turn out of your favourite celebrities.
The theme for the 2019 Met Gala was 'Camp: Notes on Fashion' and some stars definitely embodied that with a unique flair. But who did it best? Here are a few that were popular amongst fans of the A-Listers.
Lily Collins came to the Met Gala bearing a striking resemblance to Priscilla Presley on her wedding day, in a lavish white dress and a Cartier Magnitude High Jewellery necklace that showed off emeralds, rock crystal, onyx and diamonds; arguably the most stunning piece of jewellery worn to this years gala. Her emeralds complimented her soft lilac eye shadow and floral updo.
Zendaya came to ball alright, dressed as Cinderella. This blue gown, designed by Tommy Hilfiger, was lit up by her fairy Godmother stylist who waved his wand, as he was determined that Zenday would go to the ball after all. The fairy tale dress was my personal favourite at the Met Gala this year, as Zendaya fully committed to the role of Cinderella by leaving her glass slipper on the red carpet. Watch her transformation here.
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra
The pair showed up to the night in matching glittery shoes and honestly, Priyanka looked enchanting. She wore a stunning Dior dress that trailed off into beautiful yellow and magenta feather. This look was topped off with a crown.
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner
The newlyweds turned up to the Met Gala in matching outfits after their Vegas wedding last week. The pair wear coordinating Louis Vuitton by Nicolas Ghesquière and somehow they make this bold and colourful look work.

#ELLEfashion: Seen walking the Met Gala red-carpet this year in a pink @zacposen ball gown, @deepikapadukone wore her outfit with a bouffant so big it took us back to the 60s. Her Barbie-esque look was tied in with a pink hair band and a dark lip. . ?: @gettyimages . #deepikapadukone #metgala2019 #campfashion
Padukone wore a breathtaking pink, metallic dress that transformed her into a real-life princess. The gown was a custom Zac Posen design.
Monae wore a Christian Siriano custom dress, that she had worked on along with the designer, in order to be transformed into a real-life Picasso painting. Her dress was completely unique and truly a stand out for the night.
Ezra Miller's optical illusion was both beautiful and also a little creepy. But his efforts cannot be left off the list, and it's great to see more men leave their jeans at home and actually try their best. He certainly took the theme seriously.

Billy Porter completely blew away everyone at the Met Gala with his entrance; he was carried in by six shirtless men, golden, in true Cleopatra style. His 'Sun God' inspired outfit by The Blonds was finished off with 10-foot wings and a 24-karat gold headpiece. Porter truly blew everyone away.
Although Lady Gaga turned up in many outfits last night, this one has to be my favourite. The black gown and umbrella look absolutely incredible on her.
Former Vampire Diaries star, Nina Dobrev, showed up to the event in a dress that was 3D printed. Designed by Zac Posen, this design made her look like she was wearing water, which was both innovative and stunning.
Florence Welch looked beautiful as she turned up in a custom Gucci dress that transformed her into a Medieval bird with bold, statement shoulders. The mint blue and lilac tones compliment her signature orange locks and make her look truly ethereal.
Miley's outfit is inspired by Eighties glam rock, and she definitely serves up the sparkle look in style. Her green and black striped Yves Saint Laurent gown contrasted with her polka dot tights, making a bold fashion statement that Miley was determined to make work, and of course, it did.
Diane Von Furstenberg
And last on the list, Diana, who turned up dressed as the Statue of Liberty in a custom designed dress covered in her face. Do I even need to say any more?
So there you have it, a rundown of some of the most stand out looks from this year's Met Gala.
