10 student-friendly bars and restaurants in Liverpool

Liverpool is a perfect place for students who love all things alternative.

Starting with breakfast, and ending with after-dinner drinks, here is an extensive guide to a food lover's heart. Whether you live in Liverpool or are looking to visit, make sure that you consider these amazing places.

1) The Brunch Club

The Brunch Club serves breakfast and lunch until 5 pm every day, so you can have brunch pretty much anytime you like. As well as being open late on both Fridays and Saturdays, this rustic restaurant is just a short walk away from the city centre, so you can visit The Brunch Club before hitting the town on your next night out! Check out their menu to whet your appetite.

2) Moose Coffee

With aesthetically pleasing decor, Moose Coffee describes themselves as having an aim "to provide an American Diner-influenced breakfast and brunch experience". Fans of pancakes need to check their menu out. Open from 8 am every single morning, it's a perfect place to go before you need to rush off to your 9 am lecture.

3) Cafe Tabac

You can't go wrong with a full English breakfast. Cafe Tabac opens at 9am am every morning, so there's no excuse not to treat yourself to the calorie-loaded breakfast on a Sunday, mid-morn. Fulfil all of your breakfast dreams with their extensive menu.

4) Lucha Libre

This popular brunch spot serves appetising Mexican food, including jalapeno poppers, tacos and sharing trays. If you're a big fan of Mexican food, be sure to check out their menu.

5) Bacaro

With a rustic interior design theme, Bacaro is a must visit in order to fulfil your Italian food cravings. Grab some lunch along with an alcoholic beverage to treat yourself; you can check out their menu here.

6) TriBeCa

TriBeCa is an industrial-style pizzeria and bar with an extensive beer menu. All of their pizzas are £10 each, and they have plenty of offers on during the week making it perfect for students. Check out the rest of their menu here.

7) Almost Famous 

If you fancy American-style burgers, make sure you visit Almost Famous. If you're a sucker for weird food combinations, you'll definitely want to try their Nutella covered chips! You can check out their menu to see what other weird food combinations they have on offer.

8) Oh Me Oh My

The West Africa House is located in the heart of downtown Liverpool. Built in the 1920's, it was originally home to the Bank of West Africa, but it now houses the afternoon tea hotspot Oh Me Oh My. The restaurant is a creative space as well as a tea house throughout the week and transforms into a unique event space by night.

9) Berry and Rye

Berry and Rye is a great social spot for all students. It might be a bit hard to find as it's tucked away in between normal-looking shops, but this hidden gem is a must-visit if you're in Liverpool.
