Here are all of the latest Netflix releases to get you through exam season
Netflix is a popular way for students to relax during exam season, or even procrastinate.
Whether you prefer watching TV shows or movies, these new Netflix releases give you lots to choose from. Every month new shows and films are uploaded.
Here's a rundown of what's coming on Netflix UK this month:
Friends with Benefits (2011)
This is one of my all-time favourite films. Starring Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake, this romantic comedy tells the tale of two friends who have sworn off romance who end up growing closer together. It's funny, charming and happy; the perfect pick me up for when you're drowning under revision at the end of the day.
The Great Gatsby (2013)
This film is great for those who appreciate the Fitzgerald novel—or if you enjoy Leonardo DiCaprio's face, as many of us do. Starring Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway and featuring music from Lana Del Rey, this film is both entertaining and eye-opening. This new Netflix release is definitely worth a watch.
Lucifer Season 4
Based on characters created by Neil Gaiman, Mike Dringenberg and Sam Keith. The plot is about Lucifer who abandons his home in hell for a much more contemporary setting, Los Angeles.
Shaun Of The Dead (2004)
This Simon Pegg classic is the first in the Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy and tells the tale of a zombie apocalypse. It's a horror comedy film, so while it's gory it's also incredibly funny. It's the perfect way to wind down after a tough day at university.
Joy is a biographical comedy-drama starring Jennifer Lawrence, as well as Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper. Directed by David O'Russell, it is not a surprise the film was successful as Lawrence, De Niro and Cooper often star in O'Russell's films, such as American Hustle and The Silver Linings Playbook. It explores the tale of Joy Mangano, a self-made billionaire who created her own business empire.
Wine Country (2019)
In this new Netflix release, six friends go to Napa Valley to celebrate one of their 50th birthdays and end up questioning their friendships and futures. This comedy is directed by Amy Poehler and has received good reviews so far.
It's important to take breaks and relax even when you're under the pressure of deadlines. However, if a few hours of procrastination is all you need, so grab some snacks and relax whilst watching these new Netflix releases.
