Here's why your next food shop should be at Lidl
Can’t decide where to do your weekly food shop?
Lidl is the answer and here's why:
1. They have an in-store bakery
Apart from making the whole store smell lovely—and making you dribble—Lidl's bakery makes the most delicious pastries for pennies.
Or maybe your inner Parisian prefers a croissant or a pain au chocolat? Lidl’s got your back.
2. They won the Fresh Flower Supermarket of the Year in 2017
If you are looking to get a gorgeous bouquet to spoil yourself, or if you just want to add some colour to your home, Lidl is the place to go, prices start at just £2 for a bunch of roses!
3. Soya milk is 59p!
Lidl are selling soya milk for 50p?? The lord himself is quacking x

Think quality of Alpro but the price of a Tesco’s everyday value, this soya milk is a winner.
4. The booze is cheap, I mean it!

Rhubarb crumble with a hint of orange & cinnamon, yes please! And that’s exactly what this drink tasted like. @lidluk have done a great job with this gin liqueur, the tart rhubarb comes through with a hint of ginger and not too much sweetness. It doesn’t pour like a liqueur as the Whitley Neil version did & the drink is all the better for it. Matched with @fevertree_uk orange and cinnamon this is a great little drink, not one I could drink all night but a great alternative to a traditional gin to ease in those who think they may not like a G&T.
With award-winning gin for just £15 and peach schnapps for under £5, Lidl has it all.
5. It’s heaven for wine lovers
The Lidl Wine Cellar has wine to suit any taste at affordable prices!
You can get good quality wine for around £3-£10, you just have to choose the one that’s best for you.
6. Each week they have a different selection of bargains
In the middle of the shop, you will find a lot of random stuff, from light up trainers to watermelon pool inflatables. See what bargains you can grab each week!
7. They do different themed country weeks
Every so often Lidl does a country week where you can buy different food from a different country. This is a great way mix up your food shop, and an excuse to stuff your face with delicious food!
8. The range of food is pretty good too
Above all the cool things Lidl has to offer, it also has a pretty good range of food. Fresh meat, dairy, fruit and veg, you name it, Lidl has everything at an affordable price.
9. Conor McGregor even shops at Lidl
