5 motivational songs that you should listen to whilst you're revising
It's hard to manage distractions whilst you're revising if your surroundings are loud and unsettling.
When you're piled under the stress of exams and assignments, it's boring to just sit in silence, however helpful and useful that is sometimes. It's tempting to put the TV on or to listen to your favourite feel-good songs, but sometimes they can be a bit distracting. Here are some classical, calming songs to keep you chilled out this exam season.
James Newton Howard - Learning to Fly
This is my favourite film from my childhood—or quite frankly my favourite film ever. This song is way better than the Disney version because it's true to the play and the music is so much better. This song comes from the scene where they learn to fly and it makes you feel surrounded by magic, which is a perfect pick me up song when you're stressed and under pressure.
Yiruma - River Flows in You
I'm not sure about anyone else, but I learnt about this song from the Twilight Saga films. This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard and may just be the most calming thing you'll ever hear.
John Williams - Star Wars Theme Song
I don't think I need to explain this one, it's obvious why it's so great. Sometimes it's nice to listen to the theme songs of your favourite films to make your revision a little less boring. I'm sure this one can be applied to plenty of your favourite films, why not look for the soundtrack to The Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter?
Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata
I know it may be boring, but it's good. This song won't distract you or make your mind wander, making it a great song to listen to whilst revising. There is plenty of Beethoven music available, even on Spotify, which makes him the perfect guy to put on shuffle.
This one doesn't exactly fit the bill for classical music, but it does fill the empty silence and I find it incredibly calming. There are plenty of nature sounds available, but I personally love the sound of thunderstorms and the sea. Why not try some bird sounds or trees?
Hopefully these can give you the inspiration to create the perfect revision playlist. What are your favourite songs to listen to while revising?
