As Veganuary draws to a close, it is safe to say that 2018 was the most successful year in Veganuary history, with over 150,000 people signing up.
If you found yourself indulging in more vegan foods this January, then consider carrying it on for the long-run. There are so many new vegan options arriving in the market all the time, and it seems to be the most popular lifestyle and eating trend of the year so far. Repost from @halotopcreamery Yes! More new dairy-free flavors! 5 remakes and 2 new ones (: I'm really excited for the Birthday Cake, as I tried the original before and love it, and I really wanna their Cookie Dough, Pancakes & Waffles, and the new Vanilla Maple that is non-dairy only. Maybe even Candy Bar… Love ice cream so much, especially since I'm headed back to the gym after almost 2 months I won't feel guilty eating this XD Who else is excited?! #halotop #halotopcreamery #icecream #veganicecream #vegan #dessert #yummy #foodblogger
Los-Angeles based company Halo Top Creamery is set to release seven new ice-cream flavours in February 2018, which are all completely vegan. The flavours include Toast Coconut and Vanilla Maple, Pancakes & Waffles, Birthday Cake, Candy Bar, Chocolate Almond Crunch and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Considering the limited flavours of vegan-ice creams on offer, this is a dream for those wishing to sample some more adventurous flavours. Find them in Tesco stores nationwide.
Tesco’s Wicked Kitchen

So my local Tesco only had about four of the new Wicked Kitchen meals and none of the sandwiches ☹ but I'm excited to try these two because they look great. 😍 Also managed to find a falafel & houmous wrap reduced to 74p, winner 😂👏🏼 (p.s forever hating winter darkness for making all my photos look rubbish) 💚🌱 . #vegan #wickedkitchen #tesco #ukvegans #readymeal #veganreadymeal #whatveganseat #veganfoodshare #vegansofig #vgang #plantbased #plantpower #govegan #veganuary2018 #veganuary
Working in co-operation with pioneering plant-based chef Derek Sarno, Wicked Kitchen has released an array of tasty, zingy and nutritious foods which are all 100% vegan and 100% delicious. The range includes pizzas, ready meals, salads, wraps and sandwiches, which are all unique and filled with goodness. For the money-savers: head over to Tesco in the evening and you may be able to pick up these meals at a reduced price.
Starbucks new vegan food and drink choices
Good old @starbucks making it easy for us vegans! . . Coconut milk flat white with the new jackfruit wrap 🙂 . . . . . . . . #veganlunch #starbucks #veganstarbucks #starbucksveganfood #jackfruit #jackfruitwrap #coconutmilkflatwhite #vegantakeaway #plantbasedmeal #veganuary #plantbased #veganfood #veganfoodideas #plantbasedeating #veganeats #veganpower #veganfoodshare #veganshare #veganfoodie #eatlikeavegan #cowspiracy
If you are a caffeine lover, then have no fear, pretty much every high-street cafe now stocks at least one vegan option—which will usually be soy-milk. And now, even more exciting, Starbucks has launched three new dairy-free options, coconut, oat, and almond. In an intensely competitive market, with the likes of Cafe Nero, and Costa also offering some vegan choices, Starbucks has raced ahead with its offering of a diverse set of vegan milk, making it even easier for us vegans to have our favourite drinks. Thank you Starbucks! In terms of food, you can try the BBQ wrap with Jackfruit and slaw, the Five Grain Oatmeal Pot, or the Dark Chocolate and Hazelnut Bar. Yum!
New Quorn vegan deli slices
I think every vegan knows the pain of picking up a Quorn product only to see that it contains some unnecessary filler-product such as egg whites, or milk powder. As Quorn has been the poster-girl for vegetarianism since its release in 1985, it only makes sense that they are diversifying their products to reach the wider vegan audience. As well as the new five-grain fillets, BBQ strips, and vegan burgers released last year, this year they have released Quorn deli slices which will become your best friend if you’re a sandwich lover. Having these products makes veganism a lot easier for those of us who prefer products we can just throw on a few pieces of bread and call it a day rather than whipping up something fancy. Find them from your local Tesco’s or Sainsbury’s.
Asda’s new vegan Cheddar cheese and ‘to-go’ products
After 2017 saw the likes of Tesco, Sainsbury’s — and many other stores releasing their own vegan cheese brands — Asda has become the new competitor with their Cheddar cheese for only £2. They have also launched new lunch products such as the Onion Bhaji wrap, the Mexican bean salad, and the falafel & houmous sandwich.
